Purpose of the Job Responsible for the day-to-day running of the Agriculture Finance department. Key Performance Areas Manage team effectively Staff development Set strategic direction in conjunction with Financial Executive Set and review internal control / corporate governance Continuous improvement of processes and systems in Agriculture Finance Interact with internal and external auditors Cash flow forecasting Responsible for signing off and releasing payments Review Navision general ledger reconciliations Review of general ledger and foreign creditors reconciliations and resolve reconciling items Run and manage month end and year end processes Provide technical advice to the finance team and business to enforce internal controls and policies Prepare monthly management accounts (analyse TB to Income statement, Balance Sheet and Cash flow) Assist with co-coordinating year end and half year audits. Assisting in completing of audit pack Prepare budgets and revised forecasts Prepare cash flow forecasts Manage finance staff (8) Release EFT payments Meeting financial reporting obligations and deadlines Review IAS/evaluations/hedging transactions Maintain a safe working environment (according to safety policy and procedures) Achieve individual Balanced Scorecard and KPIs Effective self-management and performance ownership Adherence to any reasonable instruction Qualifications B.Com Accountancy CA (SA) 2-3 years’ experience Competencies Ability to work well under extreme pressure Self-motivated Time management Deadline driven Analytical Problem solving High EQ Report writing Communication skills Attention to detail Good Excel working knowledge – essential Required to work out of business hours (month ends/half year/year-end) Ability to handle various projects concurrently Sound technical competency A strong disposition towards dealing with complex issues Good communication and inter personal skills.
