Summary of position:
To Provide a professional, accurate, effective CCTV monitoring service and to co-operate with the Security and Operations department.
To ensure integrity, accuracy and confidentiality of all information gained is secure at all times by strict compliance and in accordance to the Security and Operational procedures and code of practice.
Duties according to the company’s established policies and procedures including but not limited to:
To operate all equipment and cameras and to comply with the security and operational control room procedures at all times.
To Monitor view-screens effectively and to take any remedial or immediate action and notification as appropriate to events seen
To communicate between other departments, Branches in a professional and courteous manner at all times.
To record all events and actions taken in a clear, legible and accurate written format and to record these onto any other media as required.
To produce and maintain continuity of all detailed records or evidential material required in a clear, legible and accurate format. This includes tape management records.
To maintain person integrity and confidentiality of all information obtained within the control room, at all times, whether written , verbal or by any other means
To ensure all equipment is functioning correctly, carry out equipment checks as required and to inform immediately all required personnel of all faults found.
To ensure the security of the control room and all equipment is maintained satisfactorily at all times, which include access control of all visitors to the control room.
To undertake any other duties or perform any other such tasks or duties which the person is reasonably expected to or instructed to undertake.
General:
Ensure that you have read and understood all Brinks policies and procedures and supporting department specific manuals at all times.
In addition to the above you may be required to perform all reasonable duties assigned to you or related to the proper completion of your job tasks.
During a work colleague’s leave of absence from the company or during a month end or peak business periods, you may be required to perform other job tasks upon reasonable request from your manager.
Position requirements:
Skills; Knowledge and Experience Needed:
Good standard of Education
Must be familiar with the operation of CCTV systems
Preferably should have some knowledge of security work
Computer Literacy
Telephone and communication skills
Previous Control Room experience will be an advantage
