Reporting to Managing Director The Head of Marketing holds ultimate responsibility for the OTC Division’s marketing activities and oversees the development and delivery of a fully integrated marketing strategy for the business Job Purpose Required Learning Bachelors or Higher degree in Science, Paramedical Discipline, Marketing, Commerce or Business Science. An MBA will be a major added advantage. Proven track record of success in senior marketing roles in Healthcare and/or Consumer related industries Key Job Outputs Development and implementation of the Brand strategies across all Therapeutic Areas with emphasis on a targeted above-the-line strategy. Developing the marketing strategy for new and existing products focussing on the dominant customer base being the Retail Pharmacy and Consumers/Patients. Overseeing implementation of the Marketing strategy - including campaigns, events, marketing, and PR across all relevant media including audio-visual, print & digital. Working closely with the OTC Sales teams; enabling them to meet their commercial objectives by providing appropriate tools, materials and presentations Guiding the day to day activities of the marketing team across all levels. Ensuring that the marketing objectives are implemented by the marketing team. Work closely with Therapeutic Area Leads to define marketing materials and programs for Audio-Visual, Print and Digital campaigns. Manage social media presence and direct programs to improve social media reputation and recognition. Developing and delivering marketing and communications strategies for the OTC Division. Undertake continuous analysis of competitive environment and consumer trends. Monitor key Research audits such as IQVIA and Nielsen (or similar) to evaluate the in-market performance of all OTC brands and to use this data to inform Marketing campaigns. Analysing potential strategic partner relationships for company marketing within the company Managing the OTC Division’s marketing budget with strict discipline. Participate on the OTC Exco in a professional capacity Core Competencies Confident, driven and dynamic leader. Entrepreneurial mind-set with the ability to spot original branding opportunities.
