MAJOR PURPOSE :
Manages the process and operational results of the dealer distribution channel for large sales branches
(sales typically of $500-600M) and complex (greater range of products, larger dealers, higher number of
transactions, etc) to ensure its financial health. Monitors and protects Company assets within the dealer
network/distribution channel. Ensures regional processes are not only implemented but also customized for
the applicable country based on local laws, etc. This manager will typically have a larger staff of direct
reports.This job may also apply if the Region(s) served involve one or more of the following: emerging
markets, number of divisions, locations and countries as well as the greater complexity involved with the
different languages, governments, and cultures that may make it more difficult to do business in certain
countries.
MAJOR DUTIES :
Description of the major duties performed in this job.
Manages the overall relationship relative to dealer financials between the sales branch and company Credit
bank in order to mitigate risk while maintaining the business growth objectives within the dealer
organization.
Manages and supports the dealer information technology (IT) infrastructure with specific focus on
dealer management system interfaces to Company and other systems.
Assists dealers with financial statement analysis and the development of financial plans, supported by
dealer financial analysis tools to be deployed. This will include customizing for each market based on
varying federal/state/local laws.
Facilitates dealership change through consolidation, replacement and termination of current dealership
locations and ownership.
Facilitates mergers and acquisitions within the dealer network. Assists with dealer prospectus,
buy-sell agreements and the preparation of financial information necessary for approval of new dealer
agreements.
Monitors dealer financial, market and operational performance and makes recommendations to
address deficiencies.
Manages the dealer Business Planning Process and assists company field personnel in conducting
planning sessions for dealers targeted for change or rapid improvement. This includes managing the
low performing dealer process.
Develops and mentors new team members on dealer development responsibilities and processes.

Education :
Formal education or training required to perform the essential functions of the job. Includes degrees,
certifications, licenses and/or registration requirements.
Degree in business, finance, engineering, sales or marketing or equivalent experience. - University
Degree (4 years or equivalent)
Relevant Work Experiences :
Type and amount of experience necessary to perform the essential functions of the job. May include specific
roles and/or an understanding of a particular function, organization, industry or product line.
Dealer/distributor development. - 4 - 7 years
Field experience with regular customer contact, knowledge of dealer/distribution network, limited
geographic area of responsibility, and broad product knowledge. - 4 - 7 years
Finance experience such as banking, wholesale/retail credit, collections, analysis. - 4 - 7 years
Experience in Project management and business planning. - Small strategic projects or larger tactical
projects with medium complexity
Supervisory experience, which includes placement, work direction, coaching, and performance
management. - 4 - 7 years
Experience in a position working with Dealers. - 8 - 10 years
