Follow the implementation of the network plans for sites that will remain within the portfolio, recovery plans for unprofitable sites that have the potential to become profitable and remain in the portfolio, and divest unprofitable sites.
Ensure that Countries have the appropriate technical tools and systems to develop country specific retail network plans.
Adapt the global methodology, processes and procedures for ‘the one best way’ of approaching, developing and executing a 5-year Network Plan in each country with the region. Adopt the global approach and ensure that a one standard for all capital evaluation and discounted cash flow analysis is applied and adhered to in every Country. Attend the Capital Evaluation Committee as and when appropriate.
Ensure within Countries, that from site identification, demographic analysis, capital evaluation, sign off, construction opening/divesting and managing the post implementation reviews are owned by the relevant Network Planning head. Ensure all post implementation reviews track and mitigate the commercial and financial KPI’s that were signed off in the original proposal.
Be the regional point of contact for all technical advice relating to Network Planning and Property Management issues.
Ensure that Countries have the right network planning and property management capability and support in place to deliver their individual 5-year plans. Guiding, controlling and monitoring the level of activity versus the level and capability of resources.
To ensure that we maintain competitive advantage by ensuring that that Countries have an updated understanding of competitor initiatives and activities.
Closely develop and follow the pipeline of projects to ensure that budget plans are met. Work with the engineering team to ensure that projects open on time and within budget.
