Marketing Manager Reporting directly to: Managing Director Role Summary: It is the responsibility of the Marketing Manager to provide market , competitor and transaction specific intelligence. This may take the form of region/country/commodity/company-specific analysis and includes trends, identification of opportunities, relationship tracking, general briefing notes and support in conducting due diligence and transaction management. Based on intelligence collected and prevailing market conditions, formulate operational objectives in line with company strategic objectives. Manage marketing, public relations stakeholder relations, company corporate identity, company functions and events and maintain customer relations as to position the company at its best with current and prospective customers. Through a strategically designed communications strategy, communicate all relevant information to stakeholders whilst ensuring measurable results are obtained from each point od contact. Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and experience. Grade 12 with minimum 10 years experience in Sales and Marketing or Diploma in Sales and Marketing and minimum 5 years experience or Bachelor degree in Marketing and Communication and minimum 3 years experience. Certificate of fitness. Valid and Unendorsed drivers license Code EB. Fluent in English and Afrikaans. Demonstrable experience in marketing communications, public relations and crisis management together with the potential and attitude required to learn. Knowledge/Skills The candidate must be proficient in: Computer literate and experience in Microsoft products incl. Outlook, Explorer, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Publisher, Visio, Adobe Photoshop, Google AdWord, social networks and media platform management. Interpersonal skills/persuading and influencing others. Honesty, integrity and transparency in practice, Emotional Intelligence. Relating, networking, presentation and facilitation skills. Diplomacy. Writing, reporting and numerically literate. Must be comfortable working with numbers, making sense of metrics and have the ability of setting and reporting of KPI's for Marketing function. Knowledge of the mechanical and piping business across all industries and their sectors. Report directly to the Managing Director. Design, obtain relevant approvals and execute approved Marketing Operational Objectives and budget on an annual basis. Maintenance and updating of Company registration on customer databases. Manage approved Company Corporate Guidelines. Ensure Company adherence to corporate identity as per Company Corporate Guidelines and pro-actively maintain Company Corporate guidelines in line with current trends, Training of personnel, monitoring of compliance and brand management. Design and manage Company internal and external publications, advertising, newsletters as well as Company website page, social media and public relation platforms taking into consideration the POPI Act, other legislative and/or customer requirements. Manage stakeholders and public relations on behalf of the Company. Monitor and measure stakeholders' satisfaction by conducting Stakeholder Satisfaction Questionnaires as per the approved Stakeholder Satisfaction Procedure and include results in the annual event calendar and communications strategy' Support strategic business development decision-making region/country specific and commodity specific analysis. Screening of potential business deals by analysing market strategies, deal requirements, potential and evaluating options. Undertake company specific analysis including analysis of potential partners/ competitors and relationship tracking. Undertake opportunity screening and prioritisation including monitoring trends and analysis of target markets. Benchmark ideas by researching industry and competitors and tracking their accomplishments. Based on intelligence collected and prevailing market conditions, formulate and execute approved operational objectives, Monitoring customer tender databases and extrapolation of tender documentation which will be of interest to the company and forward to Estimating department. Be willing to travel for business purposes as and when required, with great flexibility and excellent time management, Design, manage and attend Company events and functions. Ensure confidentiality of information.
