Purpose of Job / Job summary
Accounts Assistant
We are searching for a motivated Accounts Assistant who is an excellent multitasker with exceptional communication and time management skills.
Can expect to assist the Accounting department with data entry, processing, and recording transactions, updating the ledger.
You should be thorough, accurate, and honest with good bookkeeping skills.
Have an understanding of basic Accounting principles and proficiency with computers and software, such as MS Excel, Pastel Partner.
Trustworthy, efficient, and organized.
Accounts Assistant Responsibilities:
Providing support to the Accounting Department.
Working with spreadsheets, costings & creditors ledgers and journals.
Full function for local creditors
Capturing
Journals in Pastel
Reconciling Statements and payments
Performing basic office tasks, such as filing, data entry, answering phones, etc.
Foreign creditors, cashbooks, cross training into invoicing etc
Professional manner and strong ethical code.
Ability to multitask and remain motivated and positive.
Commitment to working efficiently and accurately, team player.
Matric
2-5 years experience working in an Admin/Finance role + experience plus experience working on MS Office packages and Pastel.
