What will make you successful in the role? Responsible for the relationships with Brokers, Referral and other business partners Ability to think strategically and create new opportunities, as well as the operational understanding to ensure delivery on those opportunities to the benefit of company as well as the wider Commercial and Personal Business. Set and drive a high performance culture. Effective management of the division’s budget and its resources. Detailed understanding of the financial drivers of a business is key. Build strategic and operational alliances with business units within company and the wider company group. Keep all stakeholders abreast of legislative changes by regulatory bodies and the opportunities they may bring in the Partner space for company Deliver results in a matrix organisation. Qualifications and Experience Degree in Finance, Economics or Commerce Relevant Insurance Qualification FAIS compliant Minimum 5 years’ experience at a Middle Management level in a business development and/or Sales related role Experience in a Direct environment preferential Experience in management of relationships with Referral partners Knowledge and Skills Proven business acumen and experience Understanding of financial statements, ratios and key indicators are essential Success in working with cross-functional groups both internal and external to the organization Detailed knowledge of call centre environments preferred Strategic planning and execution Managerial experience, coupled with the ability to motivate and lead a team of talented people Innovative and forward thinking Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills Analytical and numeric skills inclusive of Financial Management, Accounting and Reporting Building networks and excellent relationship management skills Personal Attributes Drives results Deciding and initiating action Leading and supervising Collaborates Client focus Flexibility and adaptability Cultivates innovation Strategic decision making Analytical thinking Influencing/ gaining commitment Business acumen Coaching and development. Finance, Insurance & Bus Services
