RESPONSIBILITIES:Include, but not limited to:
Primary Roles:
Process engineering calculations, equipment sizing and selection.
Development of Process flowsheets, P&ID’S and control philosophies.
Carry out on site / factory acceptance tests to ensure company equipment is operating according to the equipment control philosophy.
Complete the following lists for commissioning:
Equipment check-lists, punch lists, completion certificates.
Compile commissioning reports for approval by the HOD.
Record changes to designs and drawings for as-built documentation.
Complete onsite audits of existing company equipment and/or alternate equipment and provide necessary technical and process information for review by the Sales and Process HODs.
Carry out process support to all sales required information timeously and efficiently. This may include support in tender submissions and/or engineering sizing and selection.
Secondary Roles:
Ensure all necessary safety measures are in place before applying power to any equipment in the company’s laboratory, warehouse or on site.
Ensure laboratory and pilot plant testing is completed to process engineering procedures.
Ensure all test equipment is in working order and calibrated before use.
Control and maintain laboratory and pilot plant equipment.
Assembly and testing of pilot plants before campaigns are commenced.
Compile laboratory and pilot plant test reports for approval by the HOD.
