Permanent - Fitter and Turner - Johannesburg South - South Africa

Duties (Key Performance Areas):

• Programming, setting-up and operating of CNC machines

• Proper cutter selection for specific application

• Proper cutter selection for specific application

• Cutting tool management by ensuring that the correct cutters be available at all times 

• Maintain and modify existing moulds as well as manufacture/design new tools

• Refurbish tooling to standard specifications

• Attend to repair breakdowns & assist with tool-related problems 

• Help with troubleshooting on machinery

• Always maintain safety, hygiene and housekeeping standards

• Attending to breakdowns whilst on duty and standby shift

  Experience and Qualifications:

• Qualified Trade Tested fitter and turner

• Proficiency in programming and operating controls

• Computer literacy

• Min 2-3 years relevant experience in plastic injection moulding- Preferred

• Min 2-3 years relevant general Tool room working experience including hand work-preferred

• Must be able to read and interpret Technical Drawings

• Experience in Edgecam essential

• Must have knowledge on 3D modelling software (Inventor or Solidworks or similar)

• Experience in Thin-wall injection moulding will be added advantage

• Must have welding experience

• Own reliable car required and valid drivers licence

• Own Cell phone required

• Plant runs 24 hours/ 7 days so this will require a hands on and committed individual

• Ready to do standby on weekends, public holidays, after hours, etc is essential

• Ability to work overtime when required 

• Weekend and shift work
