IT Project Manager
Responsible for delivering and managing a portfolio of complex IT projects across different geographies, on time, within budget, ensuring all the objectives and quality standards of the project are met.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
Post Matric Qualification Grade 12 (minimum)
IT / Business Degree
Project Management Qualification (Prince2 / PMBOK / PMI / Six Sigma /ITIL or ASAP)
Depending on the line of Business has a PMI, Six Sigma, or equivalent certification, if in Six Sigma, has black belt
Certified Scrum Professional – Scrum Master® (scrumailliance.org)
Project Management Certification
5 years of proven track record of working as Project Manager on Finance and IT projects
Proving strong quantitative abilities
Knowledge of banking industry processes.
Banking certification would be an advantage.
Demonstrating proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, such as Excel and PowerPoint
Showing knowledge of standard accounting procedures
Excellent analytical, multi-tasking, organizational and project management skills.
Solid communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills required to interact with colleagues and clients both at a high-level (big picture) and at a detailed-level (technical).
Keen interest in understanding new technologies and solving problems. Ability to play an integral part in project delivery given tight constraints and uncompromising quality
Effective presentation, documentation and report writing skills.
Professional and well presented at all times
Ability to work under pressure and for extended hours, if required
Must be prepared to travel
Valid drivers license
Main Duties:
Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
Ensure resource availability and allocation
Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress
Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques
Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques
Report and escalate to management as needed
Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders
Perform risk management to minimize project risks
Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors
Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
Meet with clients to take detailed ordering briefs and clarify specific requirements of each project
Delegate project tasks based on staff members' individual strengths, skill sets and experience levels
Track project performance, specifically to analyse the successful completion of short and long-term goals
Meet budgetary objectives and make adjustments to project constraints based on financial analysis
Develop comprehensive project plans to be shared with clients as well as other staff members
Use and continually develop leadership skills
Perform other related duties as assigned
Develop spreadsheets, diagrams and process maps to document needs
