  • The key role of a  Sales Representatives is the sourcing of new Waste Clients to provide a variety of Waste Management Services, such as:
  • Total on site waste services
  • General & Hazardous Waste Services & Disposals
  • Recycling Management
  • Hazmat/ Incident Management
  • Industrial cleaning service
  • School Waste and Recycling Initiatives
  • Events Waste management

 

Minimum Requirements:

  •  Minimum of 2 years’ experience in either/ or both the Scrap Metal or Waste Management Industry.
  • Grade 12/ Matric Qualification
  • Excellent English Speaking and Writing Skills.
  • Computer Literate
  • People & Communication Skills
  • Networking Skills
  • Excellent Negotiation Skills and Closing of Sales turnover.
  • Can work under pressure – alone and as part of a team.
  • High Confidence and Energy Levels.
  • Prospecting skills, Sales Planning.
  • Ability to identify Customer Needs.
  • Market Knowledge
  • Presentation Skills.
  • Target Driven / Reach Sales Goals.
  • Ethical and Professional
  • Own reliable Vehicle essential – non negotiable

 

General Functions (Where applicable on Company):

  • Prospect for potential Customers (scrap metal and/or waste)/ aka Clients to increase business.
  • Create and Maintain own Leads
  • Cold call as appropriate, and increase potential clients by growing, leveraging and maintaining your network.
  • Identify potential clients, and the decision makers within the organization.
  • Research and Build relationships with clients.
  • Entertaining of Certain Clients which require the additional attention
  • Work with technical staff and other internal colleagues to meet client needs.
  • Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiations, led by Management. 
  • Submit fortnightly progress reports and ensure data is accurate.
  • Forecast sales and submit target monthly at Review meetings.  Research and develop a thorough understanding of the company’s people and capabilities.
  • Understand the company’s vision, goals and purpose so that it will enhance the Business Development department.
  • Identifying additional larger scale business opportunities and securing. Identifying tender and possible contract for application.
  • Increasing of knowledge in the Waste Management field for scope of services.
  • Plays a part in the development of additional business services to the public that form part of the company’s vision.
  • Calculating Quotations for Potential Clients, where applicable.
  • Making technical presentations and demonstrating how a product will meet client needs.
  • On Site Waste Audits to create Total Waste Management Proposals to clients.
  • Deliver the agreed sales volume.
  • Make the company better known in the market.
  • Is responsible for negotiations between the company and clients.
  • Responsible for New Business Development via prospecting, qualifying, selling, services and products.
  • Manage client relationship through all phases of the sales cycle.
  • Provide a consultative solutions sales process to prospects.
  • Conducts one-on-one and group sales presentations.
  • Responsible for tracking customer information, forecasts and reports.
  • Develop and maintain prospect and customer list based on strategic marketing data and other sources for sales leads in company software system.
