Purpose of the Position:  The Service Centre Supervisor is responsible for the after sales service on all pumps in the service centre. The Supervisor is customer orientated, ambitious, hands on and technically skilled. The Service Centre Supervisor is also responsible for the service training for service partners and involved with the roll out of the servitization strategy

Key Tasks:

Actual inspection, strip and quote on all pumps received Keep track of all jobs according to the serial number/date code system Creating bill of materials for all new jobs Creating in-depth failure reports for all jobs Interacting with clients regarding the failures, status of jobs and recommendations Handling warranty claims with clients and keeping record for management reports Regular review service centre and subcontracted companies process flow Supervising the picking of jobs for the service centre Supervising the releasing of jobs for the service centre Proactive problem solving on picking proses for service centre Ensuring constant flow of work in the service centre (Solving problems, engineering and quality related ) Ensuring safety and quality standards are met during the service proses and maintaining a high safety standard Provide training to employees/customers where required Ensure jobs are completed on or before planned deadlines Inspecting jobs after completion to insure quality standard Achieving monthly service targets set by Technical Leader and create daily and monthly reports Maintaining equipment and facilities in the service centre Ordering and controlling of consumables in the service centre Implementing correlative actions against near misses and unsafe conditions Enforcing of discipline amongst employees in service centre Encourage and implement continues improvement in regards to safety and service

Minimum Qualifications:

Grade 12 / N3 Certificate At least 5-8 years’ experience in a similar position

Minimum Experience:

Fault finding and problem solving on pumps

Ability to read technical drawings

Experience in AC/DC as well as VSD drives

Knowledge on how to use multimeters and insulation testers

Have a broad knowledge of pumps and spare parts

Advanced understanding of the process flow in a service centre

Computer literate in Microsoft and previous knowledge of ERP systems

Ability to do training to customers and staff

Ability to work under pressure and do physical stripping of pumps

Ability to keep track of numerus tasks and insure deadlines are met

Implementing processes and writing SOP’s Good planning and problem-solving abilities

Ability to understand the importance of customer service levels and delivering an “unbelievable” service.

Some experience of pump installation, operation and maintenance and the ability to go on site trouble shooting and alignments.

Selection of pumps and reading of pump curves essential.

Honest, hardworking individual that is hands-on, and can manage a small team.
