ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Main responsibilities for this position are as follows:
• Despatch:
Parts/Tools to Field Service Engineer
Parts/Tools to Branches/Satellite offices
Parts to Subsidiary
Parts for all over the counter parts sales
Repair and Return (referred to as RnR hereafter)
Arrange collection with couriers (local and international shipments)
• Receiving
Parts/Tools from Field Service Engineer
Parts from H.O. Corp and ex company Subsidiary
Parts/Tools from Branches/Satellite offices
Faulty parts from Branches/Satellite offices
Timeously check and advise the respective departments receipts of new parts
• Ensure warehouse is clean and parts are dust free
• Ensure proper storage and labelling of spare parts/service tools
• Sourcing of proper packaging material
• Do Part Relocations (as required)
• Proper packaging of parts for local and international shipment
• Unloading of NEW parts shipments delivered by cargo companies
Use of pallet jack or overhead crane will be required
• Assist SALES Department with unloading Machines from trucks
• Repair and Return (faulty parts) preparation
Processing of faulty parts (RnR tagging and confirmation of fault information)
Packaging of parts for shipment
• Quarterly inspections of Service Tools and ladders for inclusion in Safety File
• Arrange annual inspections of overhead cranes
• Inspection of pool vehicles
• Maintain knowledge of storage instruction for goods according to Materials Safety Data Sheet
• Safely dispose of waste scrap
• Relieve STORES General Clerk when absent/when necessary
