Key Accountabilities and Outputs
Programme and Portfolio Management
- Work collaboratively with cross functional teams including Marketing, Quality Control, Procurement, Operations, Supply Chain and Finance on the Portfolio Lifecycle
- Initiates the project planning and approval workflow and process and leads the business case development for assigned projects.
- Establishes milestones and leads gate reviews to assess project status and leads communication through all phases of project life cycle by applying best practices in the planning, execution, control, and closing of projects.
- Develops project plans to ensure that all the fundamental project elements such as scope, timelines and budget are established and that the necessary project documentation is complete, updated, and stored according to project management principles.
- Leads, proactively monitor and follow up on the project activities to ensure that the project is running according to plan.
- Apply the leadership discipline of Align, Act & Adjust
- Ensure that required master data is accurately updated during the project lifecycle by the relevant accountable individuals.
- Ensure that post-implementation reviews are completed, and recommendations are made and actioned when needed.
- Provides frequent updates and effectively communicates relevant project information to project stakeholders
- Coordinate plant trials and new product start-ups.
- Prioritize and manage multiple projects with overlapping deadlines.
- Using analytical data, seek further opportunities to enhance profitability and volume growth opportunities
- Continuously seeks opportunities for process improvement in the R&D project management discipline and for individual projects
General Operational and Financial Management
- Actively participate in operational planning and budgeting processes
- Drive continuous improvement through streamlining and optimising relevant operational practices, processes and systems
- Ensure adherence to operational and financial frameworks of practices, processes, standards and controls
