Position Overview:
As the Payroll Administrator, your will play a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of employee compensation within our organization. This role involves managing various aspects of payroll, including data entry, calculation of wages, tax deductions, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and company policies. You will aslo be required to handle employee enquiries, whilst collaborating with HR and the Finance departments to maintain an efficient payroll processes. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Payroll Processing - Execute end-to-end payroll processing activities, including collecting and verifying timekeeping records, calculating salaries & wages, and inputting data into our payroll software
- Compliance Management - Stay updated with South African labour laws, tax regulations, and statutory requirements to ensure accurate payroll processing and compliance with legal obligations
- Record Maintenance - Maintain accurate payroll records, including employee information, earnings, deductions, and leave balances. Ensure data integrity and confidentiality of payroll information
- Employee Support -Address employee inquiries related to payroll, including salary discrepancies, tax withholdings, and benefits. Provide timely and accurate responses to resolve issues and maintain employee satisfaction
- Reporting and Analysis - Prepare payroll reports, summaries, and analysis for management review. Generate relevant documentation for audits, tax filings, and statutory reporting requirements
- Collaboration - Work closely with HR and finance departments to streamline payroll processes, resolve payroll-related issues, and implement improvements. Coordinate with external stakeholders, such as tax authorities and financial institutions, as necessary
- Continuous Improvement - Identify opportunities to enhance payroll processes, systems, and controls to improve efficiency, accuracy, and compliance. Implement best practices and recommend procedural changes as needed
