Fire Detection and Sprinkler System Sales Representative

The Fire Detection and Sprinkler System Sales Representative is responsible for driving sales of fire protection solutions, including fire detection systems and sprinkler systems, to various clients. This role involves identifying potential customers, understanding their needs, providing expert advice on suitable products, and ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations. The Sales Representative will also be involved in building and maintaining strong customer relationships to foster long-term business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales and Business Development:
Identify and target potential customers in need of fire detection and sprinkler systems.
Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve sales targets and expand market share.
Generate leads through various methods, including cold calling, networking, and attending industry events.
Client Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients.
Conduct site visits to assess client needs and recommend appropriate fire protection solutions.
Provide detailed proposals, presentations, and demonstrations to prospective clients.
Product Knowledge and Expertise:
Stay updated on the latest fire detection and sprinkler system products, technologies, and industry trends.
Understand and communicate the features, benefits, and advantages of the company’s fire protection solutions.
Provide clients with technical information and guidance on fire safety regulations and compliance.
Quotation and Contract Management:
Prepare accurate and competitive quotes for fire detection and sprinkler systems.
Negotiate contracts and terms with clients to close sales deals successfully.
Ensure all sales documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
Collaboration and Coordination:
Work closely with the engineering, installation, and service teams to ensure seamless project execution.
Coordinate with internal departments to address client requirements and resolve any issues.
Participate in regular sales meetings and provide updates on sales activities and progress.
Market Analysis and Reporting:
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify opportunities and threats.
Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for management review.
Provide insights and recommendations to improve sales strategies and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience in sales, preferably in the fire protection, safety, or related industry.
Strong understanding of fire detection and sprinkler systems, including relevant safety regulations and standards.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
Remuneration:
R8,500 – R10,000 (Incentive based performance / target bonusses will be applied as well)
