Permanent - Debtors Clerk - Ekurhuleni (East Rand) - South Africa

Key Responsibilities:

Debtors Reconciliations:

• Conduct regular reconciliations of debtor accounts.
• Ensure all discrepancies are identified and resolved promptly.

Account Management:

• Capture and allocate account payments accurately.
• Maintain and manage a retail debtor’s book valued at R 42 million, consisting of approximately 650 accounts.
• Oversee COD (Cash on Delivery) and cash accounts, consisting of approximately 150 accounts.

Customer Service:

• Resolve account queries efficiently and professionally.
• Communicate effectively with customers to manage overdue accounts and ensure timely payments.

Data Management:

• Utilize Sage Pastel for maintaining accurate records of all transactions.
• Excel skills for preparing reports, data analysis, and maintaining spreadsheets.

• Proven experience as a Debtors Clerk or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in Sage Pastel accounting software.
• Excellent Excel skills, including advanced functions and data analysis.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
• Ability to manage a large volume of accounts efficiently.
• Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills.
• Own transport is essential
