Permanent - Production Cost Controller - Johannesburg - South Africa

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Determine and calculate overhead and labour costs
• Calculate, update and maintain standard costs on Sage X3.
• Calculate costing for new products on Sage X3
• Analyse and Investigate standard and actual costs variances for inaccuracies
• Review production and operational costs for recommendation of cost-effective solutions
• Analyse and report sales and profit margins for the production division
• Review, Analyse and Maintain the BOMs and routings
• Managing and Reconciling Stock and WIP for production division
• Responsible for the budgets (expense and capex) and investment proposals for production division
• Responsible for correlating information to assist in cost calculation with various departments, Sales, Production, Planning and Procurement.
• Monthly management accounts and reporting for the production division

REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Proven work experience as Cost Accountant, System Cost Analyst
• Manufacturing experience essential
• Must be willing to be on the Factory floor
• Experience with accounting software, Sage X3 and CaseWare
• Computer literacy, MS Excel
• Excellent analytical skills
• Integrity, with an ability to handle confidential information
• Be able to read drawings (Advantageous)
• BCom in Management Accounting, or CIMA Qualification (Advantageous)
