Our client is a boutique accounting firm in Manor House/ Seven Sisters (N4) providing bookkeeping and accounting services to clients of all sizes in the UK and worldwide.
We are currently looking for a strong candidate to take on an Audit and Accounts Senior role.
Responsibilities and Duties
The role is varied and needs someone with excellent organisational skills and motivation to be part of and contribute to an efficient accounts department.
The person will need to demonstrate they are highly ambitious, motivated and driven to provide high quality work and progress within the company.
They will liaise mainly with the accounts manager of the firm and take on various tasks including but not limited to the following.
- Preparation of accounts for corporate and non-corporate entities applying technical FRS102(a) /FRS105, and maintaining working paper files to a high and professional standard
- Preparation of management accounts for corporate and non-corporate entities maintaining working paper files to a high and professional standard
- Planning, managing and completing audits , and supervising junior staff on assignments
- Review of working papers and accounts drafted by more junior staff and provide assistance and mentoring where necessary
- Preparation of personal and corporate tax returns
- Working with and supporting the partners on project/ adhoc work and tax investigations
Qualifications and Skills
This role will suit someone who is outgoing and able to manage a very busy workload, multi-task and work flawlessly under pressure.
The role is for audit and accounts work mainly for the Property Investment and Property Development clients and therefore the candidate will need to demonstrate experience and proficiencies in this industry.
The ideal candidate will have and show the following:
- Computer literate with good knowledge of MS Office, MS Excel in particular (we use the G-Suite variant)
- Proactive in their approach to the role and the requirements of the firm
- Ability to communicate and interact with staff and clients on a professional level
- Able to organise, manage and control their own workload and adhere to client and office deadlines and discretion
- Capable of working on numerous clients’ affairs, setting & working to budgets as well as the ability to organise, manage and control their workload whilst adhering to office and client deadlines
- Ability to communicate and interact with clients on a professional level
- Will report to managers and also directly to partners
- Experienced and proficient in working on property development and property investment companies
- Able to take on ad hoc projects including due diligence reporting etc
- Minimum 5 years of experience in accounts/auditing in a U.K. practice
