FT Contract - Installation Supervisor - Ekurhuleni (East Rand) - South Africa

Job Purpose:

The Installation Supervisor is responsible for supervising the lifting, handling, and placement of hollow core slabs and other precast concrete products, ensuring that all activities are carried out in the most efficient and safest manner possible.

Contract Position:

Please note that this is a contract position and not a permanent appointment. The role is to support the limited duration of a new project and to address the temporary increase in workload and operational volume. The contract will run for the duration of the project or as operational needs require. The expected period will be from July 2025 to March 2026.

Requirements:

1. Grade 12 certificate

2. 4–5 years’ experience working on a construction site

3. 2–3 years’ experience in a supervisory role

4. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings

5. Ability to work at heights.

6. Proficient in English (reading, writing, and speaking)

7. Valid RSA Driver’s Licence

8. Medically fit to perform duties

9. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

10. Demonstrates discipline, a strong work ethic, and a positive attitude

11. Proactive and takes initiative in performing tasks

12. Strong leadership skills with the ability to delegate effectively

13. Ability to motivate, communicate with, and manage individuals and teams

14. Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage professionally with clients

15. Ability to assess situations and respond constructively

16. Understanding of the broader organisational impact of specific activities

17. Strong problem-solving skills and sound decision-making ability

18. Accurate and detailed reporting skills

19. Willingness to work overtime when required
