Job Purpose

  • To analyze, consolidate and compile accounting and financial documentation to enable reporting and creating financial solutions which are aligned with company policies and industry regulations.

Management Accounting:

  • Manage and control financials of the CDC and XCE businesses.
  • Ensure that all financial systems and structures are in place within each business to ensure compliance and measure efficiencies and business performance.
  • Accountable for the completeness of financial records on a monthly basis.
  • Maintain financial integrity of company accounts and ensure that they meet IFRS requirements.

Financial Reporting:

  • Compile and submit annual Income Statement & Balance Sheet and monthly forecasts in collaboration with business areas.
  • Compile the weekly Dash.
  • Compile the monthly Flash.
  • Analyse financial statements (actual vs budget vs forecast) per division and provide feedback as well as determine appliable actions plans to rectify variances.
  • Prepare a monthly financial pack.
  • Conduct General Ledger reconciliations and ensure that there is monthly sign-off.

 Stock Count:

  • Assist with preparation and attend monthly scanned stock count Outbound & Reverse Logistics.
  • Conduct Cycle Counts Auto, Scrap, Ind & Labels twice monthly.
  • Investigate variances and issue report on findings.

Warehouse Analytics:

  • Provide statistics on measures and analyse identified KPI’s i.e. batteries picked, timing of rotations through wash bay / charging etc.
  • Conduct benchmarking on Metrix between branches.
  • Analyse overall inventory status and / or anomalies and identify inefficiencies in stock holding and / or reporting and ensure that action plans are put in place where applicable

Compliance:

  • Operates within controls and procedures in order to ensure the integrity of the company.
  • Identifies and monitors risks within own department and area of responsibility.
  • Assists in the maintenance of a risk register, report discrepancies or areas of concern to management.
  • Ensures compliance with all relevant regulations and policy frameworks to prevent fruitless, wasteful and irregular expenditure

Cost and Financial Control:

  • Contributes to the budget preparation process.
  • Promotes and communicates the effective, efficient, economical and transparent use of financial and other resources.
  • Monitors and controls expenditure against budget and ensures spending occurs within budgetary limits and company's financial guidelines, report deviations to direct Manager.
  • Explores opportunities to control and reduce costs.

Customer Service Management:

  • Maintains effective working relationships with customers (both internal and external) towards rendering highest quality of services.
  • Represents the company in meetings with relevant stakeholders.
  • Identifies and solves problems creatively whilst demonstrating a high level of integrity in line with company's core values.
  • Reports to Management on internal stakeholder related matters.
  • Maintains relationships in accordance with policies, procedures and legal, as well as stakeholder management system requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (NQF 7)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (NQF 8) with CIMA registration

Experience:

Minimum:

  • Up to 5 years’ experience in an Accounting or similar role within the Manufacturing Industry

Technical Competencies:

  • Computer Literacy (MS Office Suite and applicable discipline-specific software programs).
  • Knowledge of Accounting Principles and Procedures
