Purpose of Role:

Responsible for increasing sales by developing and maintaining relationships with customers and clients.

Duties:

May include identifying prospective customers, following up on potential sales leads and maintaining relationships with existing customers.

Building and sustaining long-lasting relationships with new and existing customers based within an assigned sales territory.

Traveling within an assigned sales territory to conduct face-to-face meetings with existing and potential customers. You will be expected to do 24 calls per week •4 = 96 calls per month.

No repeating of calls twice in a month, only if there is a need to.

Continually meeting or exceeding sales targets by selling company products to new and existing customers.

Developing and implementing an effective sales strategy to drive sales. Maintaining an accurate record of all leads, customer accounts, and sales.

Researching competitors' products and pricing as well as market conditions. Keeping abreast of the latest industry developments by attending meetings, training workshops, and industry events.

Strategically negotiating with potential and existing customers to close sales.

Presenting sales proposals to potential customers, evaluating their needs, and selling the company's products or services. This also involves educating customers on the products and services, developing sales strategies, and identifying opportunities to improve sales performance.

Product or business development within the business for strategic planning.

Overall responsibility for financial matters including budgets and sales targets on a yearly basis. Reporting (content and format as agreed) weekly, and Month End Reports.

Manage a client’s projects and accounts from beginning to end.

Forecasting and planning monthly for commodities based on customer’s needs, and new projects that’s being worked on. Coordinate with sales or support team in Jhb, so that the customer’s expectations are met.

Adhere to all organization policies and procedures. Obey all lawful and reasonable orders given to you and comply with the organization’s rules, procedures, and policies with the company.

Coordinating office activities and operations to secure efficiency and compliance to company policies.

Strong external sales experience in the chemical industry
