REPORTING TO THE COMMERCIAL MANAGER
JOB PURPOSE:
Responsible for manufacturing level costs and control including cost accounting, bill of material audits, and cost analysis. Supports month-end close and special projects as requested.
JOB FUNCTION;
Perform daily costing of standard and custom products; conduct ad hoc cost analyses for operations.
Conduct weekly investigation of ledger against sub-ledger differences based on the Frozen Cost Difference Report
Update costing elements: Quarterly updates to work centre rates, global costs, and inter-company pricing based on raw materials and budget changes.
Review Bills of Materials (BOM) and routings daily to ensure correctness.
Audit BOMs monthly to reflect the latest manufacturing practices.
Maintain General Ledger Class Codes and Category Codes as required.
Submit monthly sensitivity analysis comparing future vs current costs, and profitability analysis of quoted price vs actual cost to the Commercial Manager.
Analyse and report actual labour, material, and overhead costs vs Standard/Budget monthly to the Commercial Manager
Update and apply cost accounting policies and procedures and maintenance of SEIFSA-indexed contracts on schedule.
Overseeing daily and monthly processes such as JDE approvals, variance investigations, WIP reviews, and job closures.
Inventory and costing updates: Perform bi-annual cost updates, obsolete stock reviews, and support planners with system training and pricing updates.
