Permanent - Buyer-Local - Ekurhuleni (East Rand) - South Africa

• Will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring goods and services from local suppliers to support operational needs.
• This role involves close collaboration with internal departments, maintaining supplier relationships, ensuring timely deliveries, and optimizing cost-efficiency and quality in the supply chain.

Responsibilities defined but not limited to the below

• Sourcing Goods/Services and obtain quotations.
• Executing approved requisitions and placing of orders.
• Checking Order confirmations and Updating Due dates and Delivery dates.
• Identifying cost saving opportunities and taking advantage there-off
• Expediting open orders and outstanding supplier queries e.g. short deliveries, return to suppliers.
• Assist with annual stock take preparations & Take part in annual stock count.
• Assist in resolving creditor queries & assist with financial year end requirements
• Provide training and assistance to internal and external customers as and when required.
• Ensure compliance to ISO and health and safety requirements.
• Perform any reasonable and lawful duties as required by management from time to time.

Minimum Requirements

• Matric.
• Relevant 3-year National Diploma or Degree in Purchasing, Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or a related commercial field.
• Preferred: 3–5 years of experience in local procurement, supplier management, or purchasing within a technical, engineering, or manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of procurement processes, local supplier networks, and sourcing strategies within technical or industrial environments.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• MS Office.
