We are seeking a mature, experienced Legal Assistant to provide high-level administrative and legal support to our team. This role requires someone who is confident, resilient, and able to thrive in a fast-paced legal environment. The ideal candidate has exceptional typing accuracy, strong attention to detail, and the ability to handle pressure while maintaining professionalism.

This position offers a half-day schedule, making it ideal for an experienced individual seeking flexibility while remaining engaged in meaningful, challenging legal work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive administrative and secretarial support to attorneys.
  • Perform accurate and efficient legal typing, including contracts, pleadings, affidavits, correspondence, and other legal documentation.
  • Conduct basic legal research and assist in preparing case summaries or reports when required.
  • Manage diaries, schedule meetings, and coordinate court dates and consultations.
  • Handle confidential information with discretion and maintain organized filing systems (electronic and physical).
  • Liaise professionally with clients, counsel, and court officials.
  • Prepare and format documentation during proceedings or client consultations—must be comfortable typing in front of others and working under observation.
  • Assist with general office duties, filing, and document management.

Key Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Legal Assistant, Legal Secretary, or similar role within a law firm or corporate legal department.
  • Strong legal typing skills (accuracy, speed, and formatting).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) and legal document management systems.
  • Familiarity with legal terminology, processes, and documentation.
  • High level of professionalism, thick-skinned, and able to remain composed under pressure.
  • Strong personality with the confidence to engage with senior attorneys and clients.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and tight deadlines.
  • Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated.
  • Mature outlook and professional demeanor.
