IT Administrator (Macros, Python, Power BI, UiPath, Abby)
Reports to: Head of Finance (UK)
**Job Overview**:
We are seeking a skilled and highly motivated IT Administrator with experience in automation tools, scripting languages, and data analytics. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Macros, Python, and Power BI, and some experience with Robotic Process Automation (RPA) i.e. UiPath and Abbyy (or similar) enabling them to support, optimise, and enhance IT systems and business processes. As part of our IT team, you will play a key role in driving automation, streamlining workflows, and providing data insights to inform business decisions.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Manage and maintain UiPath robots and workflows, ensuring smooth operation of automated processes.
- Develop, deploy, and troubleshoot macros to automate routine tasks in Excel and other business applications.
- Write, optimise, and maintain Python scripts to support various IT operations, including data processing, system integration, and task automation.
- Build, deploy, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports to provide actionable insights and support decision-making across the organisation.
- Provide support for IT infrastructure, ensuring all systems are functioning optimally and securely.
- Collaborate with other departments to understand their automation needs and develop tailored solutions using UiPath, Python, and macros.
- Monitor and troubleshoot automation workflows, addressing any issues promptly to minimise downtime.
- Assist in data migration and integration tasks, ensuring accurate and efficient data flow between systems.
- Ensure compliance with organisational policies and security standards across all automation activities.
- Provide training and documentation for end-users on automation tools and best practices.
- Participate in the continuous improvement of IT systems and automation processes.
**Essential Skills and Qualifications**:
- Proven experience with UiPath RPA (Robotic Process Automation) design and deployment.
- Strong knowledge of Macros, particularly in Excel, for automating repetitive tasks.
- Proficient in Python, with experience in writing and debugging scripts for IT and automation tasks.
- Expertise in Power BI, including the ability to design and implement complex dashboards and reports.
- Familiarity with IT systems, databases, and network management.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
- Knowledge of IT security best practices and data privacy regulations.
**Desirable Skills**:
- Experience with additional automation tools and technologies (e.g., Blue Prism, Automation Anywhere).
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Understanding of databases (SQL, NoSQL) and data integration techniques.
- Previous experience in IT support or system administration roles.
