Reporting to Executive: Data Integrity

Job Purpose:

To provide statistical expertise and accurate analysis of data to various stakeholders (internal & external) that results in valuable insights and yield the required output in a statistically valid way, tailored for the client’s business needs and requirements, thereby supporting the overall success and sustainability of the Company.

Key Performance Areas:

Solution Design:

To support the Sales and Research Team by providing expert advice on the most suitable methodology or approach to solve each client request or business problem.

Sample Design:

To propose the most applicable and up to date sample design/approach to achieve the clients’ desired outcomes, in the most efficient and effective manner to support the success of the project.

To accurately develop the sampling plan according to the signed off approach; and coordinate the approval thereof to minimise the impact of any delays to the project milestones resulting in overall client satisfaction.

Together with the Data Processors, effectively source the required database and/or list to ensure that the client’s need are met within the agreed deadline. 

To liaise with the sampling and GIS partners as appropriate to coordinate the drawing of sampling points, and weighing of data post fieldwork as necessary to ensure the sample and resultant data is appropriately representative

Statistical Analysis:

To take responsibility for obtaining an acute understanding of the client’s output requirements and how the research will be used internally/externally, to ensure that the outputs provided give the clients valuable insights and value-added information to support their future business decisions.

To retrieve and analyse quantitative data using appropriate statistical methods/methodologies to provide valuable insights in an understandable format to actively influence business solutions; altogether ensuring overall data integrity at all times. 

To interrogate the results to ensure that data outputs are not only accurate and comprehensive but also elevate the delivery to our clients to support their business decisions.

To deliver clear, concise, and accurate client friendly analytical report outputs aligned to pre-scoped and agreed reporting specifications and deadlines, to enable the client to make informed business decision supporting overall client satisfaction and growth for the Company. These should include:

Action based items and not an academic display of the toolbox used 

Informative levers with clear action and purpose

Relationship Management:

To provide input and expert advice during various client engagements to build confidence in the data and process ensuring the validity of the outcome throughout the project process. 

To build relationships with sample providers to ensure that they deliver according to agreed timeline and SLA’s. 

To liaise and provide ongoing expert advice and information to all stakeholders (internally & externally), thereby ensuring the effective flow of information to support the achievement of clients’ projects in line with budget and timeframes, resulting in project profitability and client growth. (e.g., research, clients, field, suppliers and KAM)

Admin & Reporting:

To ensure that all admin, timesheets, workbooks, and reports associated to the role are accurately completed/captured, stored, and submitted within the agreed deadline.

Continuous Improvements:

To keep up to date with latest developments and innovations in the field of data analysis and visualisation and implement initiatives that improve the efficiency, effectiveness, and overall quality of client outputs. This may include but is not limited to automation, software, policies, or procedures to improve speed or quality etc.

Formal Qualification:

Post Graduate Degree in Statistics or Mathematics

Experience:

At least 3-5 years statistical research experience 

Experience with dashboard and automated reporting

Proven experience in handling big data

Job Related Knowledge:

Working knowledge of SPSS or other, relevant statistical software 

Working knowledge Python / R

SQL experience and database design 

Good understanding of the research process

Job Related Skills:

Statistical Analysis skills using data mining, modelling, and testing techniques.

Computer skills (Ms Office with Advanced Excel)
