Reporting to the General Manager
AUTHORITY:
Take all the necessary steps required to ensure that the company's Rustenburg production, SHEQ and legal requirements/obligations are met.
Reject any sub-standard repairs
Carry out disciplinary action as and when required in accordance with the company policy.
Stop any process if SHEQ standards are not met
Stop unroadworthy vehicles
The company may also call upon you from time to time to assist with other tasks which might not be specified above.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Implement, maintain, and update the company's Rustenburg SHEQ System
Assist the General Manager and the Production Manager to comply with the requirements of the Occupational Health and Safety Act, its Regulations, and any other applicable laws and legislation
Champion the SHEQ software system for the site.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Primary contact person for SHEQ-related matters
Liaise and interact with company certification bodies
Conduct internal SHEQ audits and report back to management
Complete administration of the SHEQ system
Compile and implement a SHEQ training program
Compile and implement a SHEQ workshop equipment maintenance program (Cranes, lifting equipment, pressure vessels etc)
Manage, monitor and control the calibration of the relevant measuring and test equipment in accordance with the relevant procedures.
Control and monitor vehicle check sheets
Manage outsourced company security
Manage the electronic security system and ensure that regular maintenance checks are carried out on the electronic system on a regular, planned basis
Work overtime as required
Ensure all employees undergo SHEQ induction training when starting as new employees and annually thereafter
Compilation of customer safety files as and when required
Ensure all employees have entrance and exit medicals done
Manage and administer WCL incident claims for the sale
