REPORTING TO THE SALES MANAGER APPLICATIONS
JOB PURPOSE:
Sales and marketing of process equipment as well as technical support for commissioning, operating and maintenance of installed machines, repairs and spares. The role includes coaching/mentoring junior colleagues.
JOB FUNCTION:
Administration:
Ensure accurate, timely reporting (call reports, month-end reports, forecasts) in line with agreed deadlines and company requirements. Maintain disciplined planning and control through weekly site visit scheduling and up-to-date sales order intake forecasts.
Comply with company policies by submitting all expenses and documentation on time.
Customer Service:
Maintain strong client relationships through agreed site visits, prompt responses (within 24 hours), and effective management of customer queries and complaints.
Deliver value-added technical support and client training via presentations, site-based interactions, and operational guidance.
Identify improvement opportunities by analysing installed equipment data and proposing suitable process or technology enhancements.
Safety and Compliance:
Ahere to SHEQ policies, procedures, and business processes during all activities and site engagements.
Ensure SHEQ-related communications and enquiries are logged, tracked, and actioned appropriately.
Compile, manage, and sign off technical handover and project documentation with all relevant stakeholders.
Sales:
Achieve individual and company (MPE) quarterly and annual sales targets through proactive sales and technical engagement.
Support sales execution through quotation, tender preparation, installation supervision, and commissioning assistance.
Drive growth by identifying test work opportunities, gathering market intelligence, and contributing to sales and marketing strategies.
Technical:
Deliver professional technical presentations covering process equipment solutions, efficiencies, operating requirements, and test work outcomes.
Manage and report on equipment test work to defend or expand market footprint and drive product or technology improvements.
Collaborate with R&D by analysing test work results critically and providing technical input to support pricing, proposals, and business cases.
