Job Purpose

  • To perform housekeeping and general duties as required, thereby contributing to the achievement of work space efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Assist with removing and installing batteries to vehicles as well as ensure the charging of batteries are done correctly.

Key Performance Areas

Compliance (50%)

  • Operates within controls and procedures in order to ensure the integrity of company.
  • Reports areas of concern to management within own operating area.
  • Procedures adhered to.
  • Concerns / issues / problems reported in a timely manner.

Customer Service (20%)

  • Apply the sales and service procedure
  • Build and maintain good customer service levels and business relationships
  • Escalate customer queries/complaints to the Store Manager
  • Product Knowledge
  • Pricing Knowledge
  • Use of the Battery Selection Guide


General Assistance (10%)

  • Cleans up the worksite from hazardous or obsolete material and ensures a safe and clean working environment.
  • Follows instructions from Supervisors to perform manual labour tasks as required.
  • Reports issues with equipment or unsafe conditions to the relevant Supervisor.
  • Work areas and spaces clear from obsolete or unsafe materials.
  • Duties executed as per daily schedules.
  • Housekeeping principles adhered to.
  • Problems reported to direct Supervisor in a timely manner.


Staff Services (10%)

  • Assists employees maintains effective working relationships.
  • Identifies and solves problems within own operating area in line with XCE core values.
  • Employee feedback received.
  • Concerns / issues / problems reported in a timely manner.


Cost And Waste Control (10%)

  • Assists in minimising damage, loss or waste.
  • Reports incidents to direct Manager.
  • Damage, waste or loss minimized.
  • Concerns / issues / problems reported in a timely manner.

Qualifications
Minimum
Grade 12 Certificate (NQF 2) 


Experience
Minimum
Up to 1 years’ experience as a General Worker


Technical Competencies
(Knowledge/Systems/Legislation)
Knowledge of company procedures and SOP’s.
