Overview

We require a self-motivated, target-driven individual to take accountability and ownership of all branch activities. The role is responsible for communicating and driving daily branch operations while ensuring alignment with company goals. The successful candidate will oversee all people-related matters, customer service, sales, stock, and credit management within the branch.

Minimum Skills & Requirements

  • Grade 12 / NQF Level 4 or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s licence
  • Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in business development and management
  • Sales and/or general management qualification (advantageous)
  • Proven experience managing a diverse team
  • Strong people management skills to drive performance and accountability

Brief Description of Key Performance Areas

  • Manage, lead, motivate, develop, and empower branch employees to maintain a stable, high-performing team
  • Drive sales targets and manage operational efficiencies to ensure a profitable business
  • Ensure excellent customer service by actively engaging in customer interactions and maintaining strong relationships
  • Manage and control financial targets within company norms while balancing business risk
  • Maintain and improve customer service, sales performance, and stock efficiencies while managing credit risk
  • Minimise stock loss through compliance with security measures and proper stock and cash handling procedures
  • Manage people through training, mentoring, coaching, and performance management
  • Ensure sound financial and administrative control of the branch, including ISO compliance
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures
  • Maintain branch image and safeguard company assets
  • Drive sales performance to meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual targets
  • Develop and implement local sales strategies aligned with national and regional goals
  • Identify growth opportunities and collaborate with Product Application Engineers to deliver tailored solutions
  • Oversee all branch operations, including stock control, order fulfilment, and customer service
  • Manage inventory levels to meet customer demand while minimising excess and obsolete stock
  • Work with supply chain and procurement teams to ensure product availability and resolve supply issues
