Position Overview:
The Senior Network & Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, management, and optimisation of the Group’s enterprise network and infrastructure environment. The organisation operates a standardised network architecture based on Ubiquiti UniFi technologies across all branches and offices. This role will oversee the group-wide LAN, WAN, SD-WAN connectivity, wireless networks, firewalls, and core infrastructure services.
The engineer will ensure high availability, security, and performance of the company’s network infrastructure and will play a key role in maintaining connectivity between branches, cloud platforms, data services, and business systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, implement and maintain the Group's network infrastructure using Ubiquiti UniFi technologies.
Manage and maintain UniFi Controllers and centralised network management platforms.
Support SD-WAN and site-to-site connectivity between branches and head office.
Manage enterprise LAN, WAN, and wireless environments across all locations.
Deploy and maintain UniFi switches, gateways, firewalls, and wireless access points.
Monitor network performance, uptime, and capacity planning.
Manage VPN connectivity including site-to-site and remote access.
Implement network segmentation, VLANs, and security policies.
Troubleshoot complex network and connectivity issues across multiple locations.
Maintain network documentation, diagrams, IP addressing plans, and configuration standards.
Work with ISPs and service providers to maintain stable connectivity.
Ensure high availability and redundancy across critical network infrastructure.
Infrastructure Responsibilities:
Server infrastructure management
Virtualisation platforms (VMware / Hyper-V)
Storage infrastructure
Backup and disaster recovery systems
Identity services such as Active Directory
Core IT services including DNS, DHCP and authentication systems
Connectivity between on-premise infrastructure and cloud platforms
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Network uptime and reliability across all company sites
Performance and stability of UniFi infrastructure
Resolution time for network incidents
Security compliance of network infrastructure
Successful rollout of infrastructure projects
Performance and stability of SD-WAN and branch connectivity
