Position: Lathe Operator Milling and Hydraulics

• We are looking for a skilled Lathe Operator with experience in milling and hydraulics to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of various types of lathes, milling machines, and hydraulic systems, along with the ability to troubleshoot any issues that may arise during operation.

• Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate lathe machines to produce metal parts according to blueprints or specifications.

• Perform machining operations such as turning, drilling, and threading to fabricate components.

• Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and precision in the finished products.

• Inspect finished parts for accuracy and make adjustments as needed.

• Maintain and calibrate machinery to ensure optimal performance.

• Troubleshoot and repair any malfunctions in the lathe, milling, and hydraulic systems.

• Follow safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.

• Key Skills:

• Proven experience as a Lathe Operator with knowledge of milling and hydraulics.

• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.

• Proficiency in operating various lathe machines and milling equipment.

• Solid understanding of hydraulic systems and components.

• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues with machinery.

• Attention to detail and ability to work with precision.

• Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.

• Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures in a construction setting.

• Proficient knowledge and 5 to 10 years experience in operating lathes, milling machines, and hydraulic equipment in the construction industry.

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to determine the specifications of components to be machined.

• Skilled in setting up, adjusting, and monitoring machine tools for optimal performance and efficiency.

• Strong understanding of different types of materials commonly used in construction projects, such as steel, aluminum, and plastics.

• Capable of performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machines to ensure proper functioning and prevent downtime.

• Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail to produce accurate and precise machined parts according to specifications.

• Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others.

• Ability to work independently or as part of a team to complete projects within deadlines and budget constraints.

• Good communication skills to collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and other team members to ensure project requirements are met.

• Physical stamina to stand for long periods, lift heavy materials, and operate machinery in various environmental conditions on construction sites.
