We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Junior Accountant / Bookkeeper to join our finance team in Selby. The successful candidate will support the Finance Manager with day-to-day accounting functions, financial reporting, reconciliations, and administrative duties. This role is ideal for someone with 2–3 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience who is highly organized, analytical, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with general ledger reconciliations and financial reporting.
- Process daily banking transactions and payments.
- Manage petty cash transactions and reconciliations.
- Assist with VAT calculations, submissions, and related documentation.
- Support fixed asset administration and record maintenance.
- Perform general finance and administrative duties as required.
- Prepare and maintain financial reports.
- Provide support to the Finance Manager on various accounting and reporting tasks.
