- To ensure that all products, materials, and processes within the supply chain meet the organization's quality standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations.
- The role is responsible for inspecting, monitoring, and improving quality at every stage of the supply chain, from supplier sourcing to final delivery.
- Supplier & Inbound Quality: Inspect and verify components/products from suppliers, conduct supplier audits, and approve/reject parts against specifications.
- Production & Warehouse Oversight: Monitor and audit processes, manage rework activities, and stop warehouses from dispatching non‑conforming parts.
- Risk & Compliance Management: Identify and address quality risks in handling/storage/transport, ensure ISO 9001 certification, and enforce industry regulations.
- Final Dispatch & Outbound Quality: Conduct final inspections, verify packaging/labeling/documentation, and decide on redistribution product quality levels.
- Customer & Returns Handling: Inspect returns, arrange refurbishment, investigate complaints, recommend corrective actions, and decide on faulty material returns.
- Collaboration & Continuous Improvement: Work with Master Data, Engineers, and Warehouse teams on product changes, support inventory optimization, and drive quality awareness in the DC.
- Decision Authority: Approve supplier exemption requests (cosmetic deviations only), escalate ongoing quality issues, and ensure corrective actions are implemented and monitored.

- Educational Background: Tertiary qualification in Quality Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience in quality engineering within heavy industrial distribution.
- Professional Experience: Minimum of 5 years in quality management, with strong exposure to material quality and industrial distribution environments.
- Technical Expertise: Knowledge of material quality management, supply chain ERP systems, logistics principles, and proficiency in MS Office with emphasis on project management.
- Quality Methodologies: Skilled in DMAIC and Six Sigma (Yellow Belt+), and experienced with quality tools such as Ishikawa, SPC, 8D, CAR, and QAP methods.
- Communication & Languages: Fluent in English (spoken and written); additional local languages preferred; effective communicator internally and externally.
- Leadership & Collaboration: Team leader profile with analytical skills, able to work independently and collaboratively across departments and divisions.
- Personal Attributes: Safety‑first mindset, proactive, customer‑oriented, problem‑solving approach, committed to timely delivery, and building strong relationships to resolve complex quality issues.
