Position Summary

  • Responsible for all administrative and associated support for the company Category Manager’s

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Placing replenishment orders with suppliers as per the instructions of the Category Manager.
  • Ensuring that these orders are placed timeously.
  • Creating Purchase orders for these orders
  • Creating, maintaining, and updating the Orders Schedule with all relevant information and latest dates so that there is always an up-to-date schedule for all orders placed.
  • Follow Company Quality Control procedures.
  • Ensure that orders ship on time.
  • Open Files for these orders
  • Giving final approval for goods to ship
  • Bi-monthly liaison with the supplier to ensure that they are on track with the order.
  • Preparation of Clearing Documentation for our freight forwarders.
  • Ensure that these orders arrive on time, as per the Demand Planners request.
  • Ensuring that orders arrive on time for campaigns planned.
  • Coordinate and track product samples and ensure they are received in a timely manner.
  • Assisting with the samples of products- to be labelled and kept as a good record of samples, the packaging and couriering of samples to suppliers and the managing of samples for product photography.
  • Maintaining and updating a payment schedule for the payment of deposits and balances for these orders.
  • Assisting the category manager with proofing of monthly Price List and Spectacular Specials and handouts.
  • Keeping track of all components that are required for your orders.
  • Assisting the category manager with provisional/final costings.
  • Involvement with the packaging of new products in the Category

Education & Experience Requirements

  • Essential: Matric
  • Desirable: Relevant business/retail tertiary qualification
  • Essential: 2-3 years related experience
