Overview:
A leading organisation involved in major construction developments in Malawi is seeking to appoint an experienced and results-driven Contracts Manager to oversee large-scale structural steel building projects from site preparation through to final handover and commissioning.
This senior role requires a highly competent construction professional with extensive experience in steel structures, civil works, building services, subcontractor management, and overall project delivery. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing large-scale steel construction projects from site establishment to final handover.
- Overseeing all civil works, including earthworks, foundations, reinforced concrete structures, and industrial flooring systems.
- Managing structural steel fabrication, transportation, erection, roofing, cladding, and associated finishing works.
- Coordinating electrical, plumbing, drainage, fire protection, and mechanical installations.
- Developing and monitoring project programmes and construction schedules.
- Managing project budgets, variations, procurement activities, and contractual obligations.
- Leading and coordinating subcontractors, consultants, suppliers, and construction teams.
- Ensuring compliance with Malawian construction regulations, health and safety legislation, and industry standards.
