Permanent - Area Manager - Cleaning - George - South Africa

Purpose of Position:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Area Manager to oversee the cleaning operations in the George region. The Area Manager will be responsible for managing a team of cleaners, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and hygiene are maintained at all times, and meeting client expectations

Duties Include:

Manage a team of cleaners, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management

Conduct regular inspections of facilities

Develop and implement cleaning schedules and procedures

Maintain relationships with clients and address any concerns or issues in a timely manner

Monitor cleaning supplies and equipment inventory and make necessary orders

Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations

Provide regular reports to senior management on cleaning operations and performance

Requirements:

Grade 12

(ESSENTIAL) Minimum 5 years experience in cleaning, hygiene and Facilities Management 

Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a cleaning or facilities management setting

Strong organisational and leadership skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

Knowledge of cleaning techniques and best practices

Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

Valid Drivers Licence (ESSENTIAL)
