Job Summary:
The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for driving profitable sales growth, developing strategic customer relationships, and expanding market share across the assigned region. The role involves leading regional sales initiatives, identifying new business opportunities, managing a team of Key Accounts Managers, Account Managers, Customer Service Manager and Customer Services team. Collaborating with technical, and operations teams to deliver high-value specialty chemical solutions across multiple industries.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Business Development
- Develop and execute regional sales strategies aligned with company objectives.
- Achieve annual sales, gross margin, and profitability targets.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within target industries.
- Develop sales forecasts, budgets, and strategic account plans.
- Expand market penetration
- Negotiate commercial agreements, pricing, and long-term supply contracts.
Key Account Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and strategic accounts.
- Understand customer manufacturing processes and recommend appropriate specialty chemical solutions.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
- Manage customer escalations and coordinate technical support where required.
Market Intelligence
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies.
- Identify new market segments and product opportunities.
- Provide market feedback to product management and R&D teams.
Leadership & Team Development:
- Lead, coach, and mentor the team of regional Key Account Managers and Account Managers
- Establish performance objectives and conduct regular performance reviews.
- Promote a high-performance, customer-focused sales culture.
- Facilitate product and sales training for team members
Strategic Planning:
- Develop territory growth plans and account development strategies.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with Technical, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Customer Service team.
- Support demand planning and inventory optimization.
