Permanent - Night Shift Supervisor - Johannesburg (Incl. Northern Suburbs) - South Africa

Job Purpose

• To supervise all production activities during the night shift, ensuring that production targets, quality standards, health and safety requirements, and housekeeping standards are achieved while effectively leading and developing the production team.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Supervise all night shift activities
• Ensure machines are operating efficiently and production targets are met.
• Set-up of machines
• Monitor product quality and ensure compliance with company specifications.
• Coordinate machine setup, changeovers, and troubleshooting.
• Supervise Extrusion department
• Train, guide, and evaluate extrusion operators.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Reduce waste and improve production efficiency.
• Work closely with maintenance teams to minimize equipment downtime.
• Maintain production records, reports, and shift logs
• Monitor raw material usage and ensure there is sufficient material before the production order starts.
• Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Will assist the company with its SHEQ & First Aid.
• Will be part of the Health & Safety committee and will be fundamental in enforcing and implementing the system.

• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with safety standards and manufacturing regulations.
• Regular maintenance and repairs to machines when required
