Job Purpose
- Provide visionary leadership and strategic direction to the organisation.

Job Description
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and implement the organisation's strategic vision and long-term objectives.
- Lead the execution of the strategic plan and monitor organisational performance.
- Provide strategic advice and recommendations to the Board.
- Identify emerging opportunities, risks, and industry trends.
- Drive innovation and continuous organisational improvement.
Corporate Governance
- Ensure compliance with all applicable legislation, regulations, and governance frameworks.
- Promote sound corporate governance and ethical leadership.
- Implement effective risk management and internal control systems.
- Ensure compliance with Board resolutions and organisational policies.
- Foster a culture of integrity, accountability, and transparency.
Executive Management
- Provide leadership to the Executive Management Team.
- Oversee organisational operations and business performance.
- Develop and implement operational plans aligned to strategic objectives.
- Ensure effective performance management across all business units.
- Build organisational capability through leadership and talent development.
Financial Management
- Ensure the financial sustainability of the organisation.
- Oversee the development and implementation of budgets.
- Ensure sound financial governance and prudent resource management.
- Monitor financial performance and implement corrective actions where necessary.
- Ensure compliance with applicable financial management legislation and standards.
Stakeholder Management
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with government departments, regulators, industry bodies, clients, and other stakeholders.
- Represent the organisation at national and international forums.
- Promote collaboration and strategic partnerships.
- Manage stakeholder expectations through effective communication and engagement.
Risk and Compliance
- Ensure enterprise-wide risk management.
- Monitor legal and regulatory compliance.
- Oversee business continuity and organisational resilience.
- Ensure effective internal controls and compliance systems.
People Leadership
- Create a high-performance organisational culture.
- Lead organisational transformation and change management initiatives.
- Promote diversity, inclusion, and employee engagement.

Performance Management

Requirements
Qualifications
- Postgraduate qualification (NQF Level 8) in Business Management, Commerce, Finance, Law, Engineering, Built Environment, Public Administration, or a related field.
- A Master's Degree (NQF Level 9), such as an MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification, will be an added advantage.
- Professional registration with a recognised professional body will be advantageous where applicable.
Experience
- Minimum of ten (10) years' senior management or executive leadership experience.
- At least five (5) years' experience operating at Executive or Chief Executive level.
- Proven experience leading a large, complex organisation.
- Demonstrated experience in strategy development and execution.
- Proven track record in corporate governance and organisational leadership.
- Experience in financial management, budgeting, and resource optimisation.
- Experience engaging with Boards, government departments, regulators, and senior stakeholders.
- Experience leading organisational transformation and change management initiatives.
