Responsibilities
Be the go-to IT support on the warehouse floor—fast, visible, and hands-on
Fix hardware, software, and network issues before they cause delays
Keep warehouse-critical tech running: WMS, scanners, printers, and label machines
Set up and manage PCs, laptops, handhelds, and mobile devices
Own asset tracking and keep everything accurately logged
Manage user access, passwords, and basic security controls
Log, track, and close support tickets within SLA targets
Escalate tricky issues to vendors when needed
Run routine system checks, updates, and backups
Support system rollouts, upgrades, and on-the-floor training
Keep downtime low and efficiency high
Personal Skills and Attributes
Confidence supporting scanners, printers, and mobile hardware
Comfort working in a warehouse or operational environment
A natural problem-solver with a calm, practical mindset
Clear communication and a strong service focus
The ability to prioritise and work independently in a fast-paced setting
Experience
Hands-on experience in an IT support or helpdesk role
Solid Windows OS knowledge and a good grasp of basic networking
Experience in a warehouse or logistics environment
Exposure to Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
A relevant IT qualification or certification
