Key Responsibilities:
- Manufacturing & Assembly: Construct, assemble, and finish bespoke furniture, built-in cupboards, and wooden fixtures.
- Machine Operation: Safely and efficiently operate woodworking machinery (e.g., panel saws, edge banders, planers, and sanding machines).
- Blueprint Reading: Read, interpret, and work according to technical drawings, cutting lists, and production schematics.
- Material Preparation: Measure, cut, and shape various timbers, laminates, and boards (including solid hardwoods, softwoods, and melamine).
- Finishing: Apply adhesives, sealants, stains, and hardware (hinges, drawer runners) to complete products to high quality standards.
- Quality Control: Inspect finished goods for correct dimensions, structural integrity, and aesthetic quality.
- Workshop Maintenance: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace. Perform basic daily maintenance and calibration on workshop tools and machinery.
- Safety Compliance: Strictly adhere to the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) No. 85 of 1993 and factory safety protocols.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Education: Grade 12 (Matric) Recognized Trade Certificate in Carpentry/Joinery (e.g., NQF Level 4) or completed accredited apprenticeship.
- Experience: Minimum 3–5 years post-qualification experience in a furniture manufacturing, cabinetry, or shopfitting environment.
- Technical Skills: Sound knowledge of wood types, joinery techniques, and the use of both hand-held power tools and heavy machinery.
