Permanent - Junior Millwright / Mechanical Engineer - Ekurhuleni (East Rand) - South Africa

Position Overview:

Position requires a motivated individual to join the technical team of a leading mining and aggregate crushing and screening company.  Will be working alongside experienced professionals on projects across South Africa and neighbouring countries.

Will require someone who will enjoy working with heavy machinery, thrive in challenging environments, and are willing to spend extended periods away from home.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Assist with the installation, maintenance and repair of crushing and screening equipment.
• Perform mechanical inspections, fault finding and preventative maintenance.
• Support breakdowns and shutdowns at customer sites.
• Work alongside experienced technicians and engineers to develop practical industry skills.
• Travel extensively to mines and customer operations throughout South Africa and neighbouring countries.
• Maintain a strong commitment to safety, quality and customer service.

 Minimum requirements:

• Qualified Millwright (Red Seal Trade Test) or a National Diploma/Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Newly qualified or up to two years' relevant experience.
• Fluent in Afrikaans and English (spoken and written).
• Valid Code B driver's licence.
• Medically fit to work on mining sites.
• Willing and able to travel extensively and spend prolonged periods away from home.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability.
• A positive attitude, willingness to learn and a strong work ethic.
