Permanent - Solutions Specialist - Ekurhuleni (East Rand) - South Africa

• Shipment management, from end-to-end
• Indent Monitoring on a daily basis for airfreight & ocean freight shipments
• Status reports sent to clients as required
• Monitor and co-ordinate airline release & post authorities release
• Pro-Actively communicating and resolving queries or delays to Clients
• Pro-Actively controlling Clients shipments
• Complying to or supplying Client with costs & estimates to import shipments from the relevant origin accurately.
• Ensure all costs are recovered when accepted by the client
• Quality checking of rates and collect charges on waybills
• Co-ordination of communication between suppliers and Clients
• Communication and coordination with various suppliers involved in the Supply Chain

Knowledge, skills and experience required:

• Some experience in general Logistics, Imports, Exports, Air or Ocean Freight
• Must have a Grade 12 / Standard 10 certificate, with exemption
• ABET Level 4 result in Maths and English language
• Excellent communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Highly effective administration skills
• Reliable transport and valid driver’s license
• Ability to implement corrective action
• To be well groomed and presentable
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Punctuality and effective time management skills are critical
• Must have the same personal beliefs and values as held by the company – the client always comes first
• Effective systems orientation
• Available to work long hours where necessary
