Permanent - Technician - Ekurhuleni (East Rand) - South Africa

Key Areas of Responsibility in This Position include:

• To dyno test all engines going through the workshop to ensure performance and quality are in order before releasing to a customer. 
• To provide an efficient and technically proficient fault diagnostic, service, and repair function. 
• To provide an efficient and technically proficient engine rebuild function. 
• To ensure that company technical and quality standards are adhered to at all times 
• To ensure that administrative functions are completed timely and accurately.

Qualifications Required:

• Min Grade 12 or N3 
• Qualified artisan – trade test pass (diesel fitter / mechanic/ automotive machinist) 
• Valid driver's license

Specific Knowledge Required:

• Ability to demonstrate the skills and knowledge of his/her trade  Experience leading to an in-depth understanding of company product technical and quality standards 
• Ability to meet technical and quality standards 
• Basic electrical and electronics knowledge 
• knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act 
• Computer literacy (Microsoft package, Word, and Excel)

• At least 3 years post-apprenticeship experience in the field of trade passed
