Employee Relations:
Provide advice and guidance to management on employment legislation, company policies and practices.
Managing and chairing of disciplinary, grievance, incapacity, poor performance and retrenchment processes in accordance with company policy and applicable legislation.
Liaise with external stakeholders, including the MEIBC, Department of Employment and Labour, and other regulatory bodies
Training and Development:
Plan and oversee employee training programs, professional development, and leadership development initiatives to enhance skills and performance
Performance Management:
Evaluate employee performance, implement appraisal systems, and develop strategies to improve productivity and retention
Compensation and Benefits Administration:
Manage salary structures, benefits programs, and incentive plans to attract and retain talent while ensuring cost efficiency
Compliance and Policy Management:
Ensure adherence to labour laws, employment regulations, and internal HR policies. Maintain documentation and update policies as needed
Strategic HR Planning:
Collaborate with executives to align HR initiatives with business goals, workforce planning, and succession planning
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion:
Promote inclusive workplace practices and foster a culture of equity and engagement
HR Administration:
Maintain HR records, organizational charts, and process documentation. Oversee HR software and digital tools for efficient operations
Recruitment and selection:
Overseeing recruitment, selection and the onboarding process
Leadership and Team Management:
Lead HR staff, provide guidance, and ensure effective execution of HR projects and initiatives
