Permanent - Technical Accounts Manager - eThekwini (Durban) - South Africa

Job Overview

• The Technical Account Manager serves as the primary technical liaison between company South Africa and its clients.
• The role requires an understanding of client technical requirements, guidance on product implementation and optimisation, and effective resolution of technical issues, while working closely with Sales, Product Development and Customer Support.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with key client stakeholders and understand their technical and business needs.
• Act as the primary technical contact for client discussions, escalations and problem solving.
• Guide clients on product implementation, configuration, optimisation and best practices.
• Manage technical projects, coordinate resources, monitor timelines and communicate project status.
• Initiate customer contact, identify required products/services and support achievement of sales targets.
• Understand market trends and implement sales plans; forecast and monitor sales and evaluate targets regularly.
• Identify prospective customers, support customer events/hosting and maintain effective customer relationships.
• Assist with finance agreements and communicate customer credit positions to support continuity of supply.
• Assist with perpetual and quarterly stock counts as required.

Qualifications:  

Recognised National or International Sales Qualification / National or International Chemical or Related Qualification

. Experience:     

•  Minimum 3 years' practical sales experience in the composites or related industry, with a proven sales track record and demonstrable computer experience
