Key Accounts Manager (Key Accounts Manager)

Distributor of leading international brands, some in the premium luxury consumer category.  Mainly distributing in mass retail chains such as Makro, Dion wired & Game

I was approached by the CEO of the company after seeing my work at a tradeshow, soon after that I was appointed as the only designer for the company. My duties here are to create all marketing material for below and above the line advertising in both wholesale and retail. In store merchandizing management and POS creation. Designing of all magazine adverts for Getaway, Stuff, Cosmopolitan, Popular Mechanics and De Kat to name but a few.

I’m also responsible for competitor analysis and competitor research.  I’m constantly working on marketing strategies to gain market share and gain more brand awareness. I manage all relationships with publications, PR requirements and the printing, distributing and execution of all marketing material.

I was promoted to Brand Manager (still doing all my dtp responsibilities) for one of the companies’ premium brands – Leica. My duties here are to manage all the brand activities such as product launches, in store merchandizing, brand image, public relations, shop fitting and managing of the reps that sell my brand. This is a equity brand so we work in conjunction with leica Germany and partner in SA with other brands such as Aston Martin.

Currently I’m managing our merchandising team, across 4 brands in all of our retailers. I’m responsible for trade shows and events that will grow our brands in both the retail and consumer sectors, this includes dealing with all the different brand principals to ensure that a budget is followed as well as the brand equity that needs to be uphold. I’m responsible for the company website as well as that of 6 brands, social media content and national consumer campaigns. Shop fitting and custom stand designs as well as the managing projects from prototype all the way through to distribution comes from my desk.

Key Accounts Representative:

Looking after chain stores and independent owners stores in the Gauteng region, during this time I made record sales. I offered the clients extra service by training the staff members on products and coordinating marketing activities. 

Product Assistant:

Working closely with the brand manager form software development, training of staff members to working directly with the public.

Graphic Designer & Marketing Assistant:

Conceptualization, design and finishing of all marketing material, product launches, press releases, press conferences and radio interviews for both wholesale and retail. I designed and marketed all POS material for the Foto First franchise grope thought the whole of South Africa and Namibia.
